Bring your grown-ups!
Hey kids, does it get tiring dragging your parents to places designed just for kids? Are they always whining that you can’t play any longer because “mommy has to send an email and there’s no WiFi” or “you have to eat your snack on the way home because daddy wants to grab a coffee.” Some places don’t even have seats for your tired grown-ups, so they just stand awkwardly watching you play and keep checking their phones till naptime. It’s tough to watch—we get it.
AT STEMSpot, you won’t have to worry about your grown-ups. You can focus on enjoying our awesome STEM exhibits and activities while your grown-ups can relax in our comfy chairs & sofas, enjoy a latte or snack at our café and maybe even enjoy an adult conversation. Have a grown-up that’s always checking on you? No worries—our café allows easy lines of sight to all part of our playspace so they can café while watching you play—everyone wins! And if they need to finish an email or meet a deadline, we've got co-working spaces & programs as well. So stay tuned for when we get close to opening, because you’re going to want to get a STEMSpot visit on your grown-up’s schedule!
Co-working Reimagined
Co-working spaces are often for adults with spaces to network and tables or rooms to rent as needed to work outside the home and in the presence of other professionals. But what if you don’t have full-time childcare and work part-time or are an entrepreneur or have some days where you only check e-mail and are creative with when you work (naps) or don’t? What if you just need two hours to finish a deadline and can’t find a babysitter? STEMSpot is reimagining co-working spaces with our café seating and designated co-working times. Caregivers have the flexibility to come in whenever they need to get something done and still see their child playing in close proximity to their work area. Alternatively, they can sign-up for a desk in our classroom where they can work while their kiddos attend a STEM class. They are still nearby if their child needs them, but the class is designed to keep kids busy and engaged during the co-working block.
