At STEMspot, our weekend birthday party packages offer something many larger venues don’t: complete privacy. Unlike busy trampoline parks or crowded play centers, our space is reserved just for you and your guests—making the experience much more relaxed and enjoyable. Since our parties are designed for children under 8, we know many little ones will have their families with them. That’s why we don’t charge per person for weekend parties. Invite up to 75 guests—grandparents, cousins, friends, neighbors, classmates—the more, the merrier!
A Space for Adults to Enjoy
Tired of cramming into a tiny party room while kids eat their cake? At STEMspot, we make sure adults can enjoy the party too! Our café area, with its large windows overlooking the river, provides plenty of comfortable seating for parents and other grown-ups. We even offer add-ons like a barista or an unlimited coffee/tea bar to make your experience even more enjoyable. Since little ones need their grown-ups nearby, we ensure the space is just as inviting for adults as it is for kids!

Our "Simply Sweet Playdate" Package is perfect for a child celebrating with a small group of friends or family on a weekday. Your guests can enjoy the space during our PUBLIC weekday open play times and then gather together for cake and pictures in our private classroom. This simple and budget-friendly semi-private experience turns a playdate into a special celebration! Please note that desserts, presents and impromptu celebrations are not permitted in our public café area–so if you’d like to combine a playdate and birthday celebration this is the package for you!
Package Includes:
Open Play Admission: This package covers open play admission for the birthday child and up to 5 children. You can purchase additional open play passes if needed.
Adult Capacity: This more intimate affair allows for a maximum of 20 adults/children due to the capacity restrictions of our classroom where you will have your private dessert time.
Private Dessert Time: After playtime, enjoy 20 minutes in our classroom to cut your cake or dessert, sing "Happy Birthday," and take group photos.
Staff Support: A staff member will be on-site if you need any help during your visit.
Basic Décor Provided: We’ll set up a "Happy Birthday" backdrop and simple tablecloths for your dessert time.
Bring Your Own Sweet Treat: You may bring cake, cupcakes, or any other dessert as well as any plates, cutlery, napkins your dessert requires. You can also purchase snacks and beverages from our café if needed, but please note that full catered meals cannot be served due to limited time and space in this semi-private event.
Important Notes for the “Simply Sweet Playdate” Package:
No Additional Food/Meals: This package is designed as a play and dessert option only—no additional food or meals are allowed.
Minimal Decorations: We recommend keeping decorations simple due to the short time in the space. If you bring decorations, please remove them promptly after the celebration. We’ll take care of cleaning up plates and trash afterwards.
Café Policy-no birthdays in the general café area during public open play: To avoid confusion for other children, birthday desserts and presents are not allowed during public open play in the café area. You cannot host your own party in our public café area during open play–please reserve this package to avoid being asked to remove decorations, food, or presents from the café area.

Our “Engineer Your Fun DIY” Package is ideal for parents who want to bring their Pinterest-inspired vision to life. With 30 minutes to set up before the party, you can personalize the decor and food to make the celebration truly unique (just be sure to follow our decor guidelines). We’ll assist with party flow and clean-up, and you can customize your event further by adding on any of our available add-ons to create the perfect experience.

Private Use: 2 hours of exclusive access to the play area, café seating, and classroom—no public access during your event.
Guest Capacity: Invite up to 75 people, including family, friends, neighbors–any combination of adults and kids.
DIY Decor Time: You will have 30 minutes before the party to set up, and 15 minutes after to take down.
Birthday Host: A dedicated STEMspot team member will help with set-up, check-in, party flow, and clean-up.
Party Format: 1.5 hours of open play, followed by 30 minutes for food, cake, and photos in the café. There is no re-entry to the play area during the last 30 minutes.

Our "STEMSpot Signature Celebration" Package is the ultimate package for parents who want to enjoy a stress-free celebration. Simply share your child’s theme with us, and we’ll take care of everything. From setup to clean-up, we’ve got you covered, so you can focus on enjoying the special day with your child and guests.
Package Includes:
Private Use: Enjoy 2 hours of exclusive access to our play area, café seating, and classroom. The facility will be closed to the public.
Guest Capacity: Invite up to 75 people—family, friends, neighbors—any combination of adults and kids.
Decor: We provide tablecloths, themed coloring table-mats, a photo backdrop area, balloon table bouquets, cutlery, napkins, and plates to match your theme.
Food: We will provide water and juice or lemonade for all guests. Feel free to bring your own catering or let us handle pick-up and set-up from our preferred caterer, Salvatore’s.
Birthday Hosts: We handle setup, clean-up, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Two STEMspot team members will assist you.
Party Format: Party Format: 1.5 hours of open play, followed by 30 minutes for food, cake, and photos in the café. There is no re-entry to the play area during the last 30 minutes.

Feel free to bring any catered food for your event! To make it even easier, we partner with Salvatore's, our neighboring caterer on the 1st floor. When you order from them, we’ll handle the pick-up and setup to ensure your meal is fresh and hot for your guests. Order and pay for your appetizers, meals, or desserts directly & we’ll pick it up and set it up for you during the party (http://www.salvatoresriverwalk.com/)

Please help us protect our space by following these decor rules. Failure to follow these rules will result in loss of deposit and potential responsibilty for damages.
Tape Rules: You can use Scotch or masking tape on doors, windows, or tables, but please avoid using any tape or adhesive on walls, ceilings, light fixtures, furniture, or floors.
Balloon Displays: Ensure balloon garlands or displays can fit in the elevator and that you can set them up within your 30-minute setup time. All balloon displays must be removed after the party, as our staff cannot dispose of them.
Loose Balloons, Confetti, & Piñatas: Limit loose balloons to 30 and keep them contained in the café area due to potential choking hazards and mess. Please do not bring ANY confetti or glitter as our space serves infants as well and we need to keep our floors safe. We also do NOT allow piñatas unless they are the style where you pull strings versus cracking them open.
Helium Balloons: Make sure helium balloons are tied down with weights, as we have very high ceilings.
Outside Vendors: If you’re bringing in outside vendors (e.g., face painters, magicians), please inform us in advance so we can coordinate the necessary paperwork.
Setup & Cleanup: We will handle all set-up and cleaning with the Signature Package. For the DIY package, you have 30 minutes before the party to set up and 15 minutes after to take down and remove all decorations. If you exceed this time, an "overtime" charge will apply. Our staff will handle cleaning tables, chairs, sanitizing play equipment, and vacuuming, but you are responsible for taking down your decor and popping then disposing of any balloons.

If you choose our Signature Package, we will set-up for you--simply give us your child's theme. While we have plans for dinosaur, building blocks, sports, unicorns, under the sea, outer space, and other themes. We are also prepared to tackle unique themes--if your kiddo really wants a rainbow-ninja-in space party--we can make it happen!

Canceling 14 days or more before party: We will refund your deposit or we transfer your deposit so you can re-schedule the same package on another available date. This must be done on phone by speaking directly to a staff member and receiving a confirmation email.
Canceling 6 to 13 days before the party: We will credit your deposit on your client account to use at STEMSpot for future play, classes, events, or birthdays (credit is valid for 6 months).
Canceling 5 days or less before the party: Unfortunately, when you cancel so close to the party date, we have already prepared for the materials for the event staffed your party hosts. It is too short notice to open up the time-slot to other customers, so you will not receive your deposit back. If you added a barista add-on or activity/craft add-on, the cost of those add-ons cannot be refunded either, as they require extra advanced preparation. Birthday party cancellations are not officially canceled until you discuss directly with a STEMSpot employee AND receive a confirmation e-mail stating the event is canceled.

Absolutely! Our members receive 15% off their birthday party package.

At STEMSpot, our party hosts are fully compensated for their time and efforts during your event, so tipping is not required. However, if you feel that the service provided went above and beyond your expectations, you are welcome to add a gratuity on the final invoice at the end of the party.

You will be asked to pay your balance at the end of your party. We can charge any additional purchases made day-of and provide you with a final invoice. We accept cash or credit card. We do NOT accept personal checks.
